1、 Overview
Yihai Zhuocheng Brand OptoelectronicsDirect reading remote water meter (hereinafter referred to as direct reading remote water meter) is a self-developed direct reading remote water meter that is convenient for remote meter reading and control, designed to meet the actual needs of daily water use. It adoptsM-BUS∕RS485Bus communication enables remote direct reading of water meter usage, effectively avoiding the need for management departments to conduct on-site meter reading. This product also has valve control function (optional), which facilitates the management department to control the water usage of direct reading remote water meters, making remote meter reading and control more convenient and reliable. While saving manpower, material resources, and financial resources, it effectively improves productivity.

2、 Performance characteristics
1. Due to the direct reading of character wheel data, compared with traditional pulse remote water meters, there is no need to set parameters such as meter base number and meter constant, and there is no cumulative reading error. The mechanical reading and electronic reading remain completely consistent, and there is no situation where the readings of the two are inconsistent due to cumulative error or water meter inversion;

3. Adopting advanced data encoding and verification methods, the communication reliability is high.
4. Combined with the upper computer system, establish a remote automatic meter reading management system to truly achieve meter reading and management automation.

5、 Maximum allowable error
(1)The maximum allowable error in the low zone from including the minimum flow to excluding the boundary flow is±5%.
(II)The maximum allowable error of the cold water meter from including the boundary flow to including the maximum flow in the high zone is±2%The hot water meter is±3%.
6、 Installation
(1)Before installing the direct reading remote water meter, it is necessary to first read and record the meter address to ensure that the electronic code inside the meter is consistent with the dial serial number.
(II)The installation of direct reading remote water meters must comply withGB/T778.2Installation requirements.
(3)The diameter of the direct reading remote water meter should be determined based on the diameter of the installed pipeline and the commonly used flow rate that is less than or close to the commonly used flow rate of the direct reading remote water meter. The installation location should avoid exposure to sunlight, flooding, freezing, and pollution, and should be easy to disassemble and read.
(IV)The direct reading remote water meter must be installed horizontally, with the water flow direction consistent with the direction indicated by the arrow, and ensuring that the reading dial of the meter head is facing upwards.
(V)Before installing a new direct reading remote water meter, the sand, gravel, hemp fibers, and other debris in the pipeline should be removed first to avoid water meter malfunction.
(VI)If the water meter is installed at the inlet of the boiler, it is necessary to prevent the backflow of hot water and steam from the boiler from damaging the internal components of the water meter. It is best to install a check valve at the outlet of the water meter.
(7)Insert the meter connector into the connector nut and install it onto the pipeline. Then twist the connector nut to install the direct reading remote water meter onto the pipeline, keeping the reading dial of the direct reading remote water meter horizontal and upward. When connecting the water meter to the pipeline, excessive bending force should be avoided to avoid damaging the interface of the direct reading remote water meter and breaking it. Prohibit the installation method shown in the following figure:

matters needing attention:
1In the same system, the meter address of the direct reading remote water meter cannot be set repeatedly.
2、MbusThe two cables of the direct reading remote water meter interface do not distinguish between positive and negative polarities.
3、RS485The four cables of the direct reading remote water meter of the interface should be strictly differentiated in polarity, and should be connected separately according to different color codes when connecting.

8、 Precautions
(1) Regularly check the operation of the direct reading remote water meter and pay attention to antifreeze in winter.
(2) The installation location should avoid exposure to sunlight, freezing, pollution, moisture, and flooding, in order to facilitate disassembly and meter reading. During periods of freezing, in addition to wrapping the water meter and water pipe, the inlet valve of the water meter should be closed when not in use, and the outlet valve and faucet should be opened to prevent the water meter from expanding and being damaged due to freezing. It is recommended to install it in a dedicated water meter box.
(3) If the direct reading remote water meter appearsM-BUSWhen the remote meter reading data does not match the character wheel or when there is a malfunction in the direct reading remote water meter or remote transmission system, the character wheel reading on the meter dial shall prevail.
